·       In-class:
o   Finish Sensation and Perception Lecture
o   Motivation and Emotion lecture and discussions
·       Due Thursday:
o   Listen to “The Power of a Made-up Mind” podcast by Brian Buffini: https://podcast.brianbuffini.com/episode-025-power-made-mind/
o   Answer the 2 questions he posed during the broadcast:
§  Where do you need to make up your mind today?
§  When have you made up your mind in the past, and what were the benefits of it?
§  And describe how this applies to motivation in psychology.
o   As with the last podcast homework, can be answered on paper or on a 3x5 card.  BRING TO CLASS to share at least the last two answers with your classmates.

o   Review Chapters 5 & 6 Test, to be taken next Tuesday.

·       Due Tuesday:
o   Watch this TED Talk: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7sxpKhIbr0E
·       Write down the four “Cs” he mentions and briefly describe each of them.
·       Explain what it means to be a “failure-avoider” versus a “success-seeker”. Out of which mindset do you feel you operate in most of your life? Why do you think that is?
·       List one thing the speaker said that you found profound, particularly interesting, or impactful.
§  This can be handwritten or typed, but it must be neatly written and brought to class on Tuesday.
