§  Timeline creation
·       Due Thursday:
o   Read from “Brain Imaging” on pg. 42 through pg, 48 in the Rice text.
10/11:
·       In-Class: The Structure of the Brain
o   Amygdala exercise
o   Shower-cap exercise
o   Review of chapter 4 in Rice text questions.
o   Assign brain structures for homework.
·       Due Tuesday:
o   You will be assigned a specific structure in the brain. You must find the answers to the following questions for your structure:
§  What function does this brain structure serve when healthy?
§  How/in what way would this structure get damaged?
§  What function is affected if it is damaged?
§  What, if any, specific diseases or disorders are associated with the damaged structure?
o   You DO NOT need to write these down for me, but you DO need to be prepared to teach the class about your structure, addressing all the questions listed above.
