·       In-class:
o   Chapter 10: Thinking, Language, & Intelligence
·       Due Thursday:
o   Give an example for each of the types of perceptual barriers listen on pages 131-132 in the text.  Do not use any examples from the book.  This can be typed or handwritten neatly.
2/14
·       In-class:
o   Chapter 10: Thinking, Language, & Intelligence
§  Creative problem-solving exercises
·       Due Tuesday (2/26):
o   Read “Theories of Language Development” on pages 134-135 in the text.  Then, contrast the theory of B.F. Skinner/Albert Bandura with that of Noam Chomsky. This should take approximately 3-5 sentences.  Next, briefly paraphrase the perspectives of interactionist theory and evolutionary theory when it comes to language development.  This should take 2-4 sentences.  Remember that to paraphrase means you must say it in your own words (not copy from the book or another source). This may be typed or handwritten neatly.
